HOW TO: Share Facebook posts using mobile browser

Normally, whenever you are trying to navigate Facebook through your mobile’s inbuilt browsers or via Opera Mini, UC Browser etc., Facebook will place a cookie in your temporary folder (Whether it may be a PC or mobile browser) to get the information about the browser what you are using currently.  Also it’ll grab the information about, the device’s OS, make, model etc.,

If the browser the you are using is a Computer based browser, then it’s direct you to a normal Facebook’s web site (i.e. www.facebook.com)

If it determine that your browser is a mobile based, then it’s redirect your browser to it’s mobile site (i.e.http://m.facebook.com)

This is normal, because Facebook’s all features (like Chat and other special plug-in) will not work in a mobile based browser.  And also, the data transfer will be little bit higher when using computer based browsers comparing with mobile browsers.

For example, while using pc based browsers, downloading size of a file like images will be same as its original size.  But while using mobile based browsers, it will be shrunk in size to reduce the amount of data transaction and also to save you money if you are not in unlimited internet plan.

Thus, in interest to reduce the data usage, Facebook redirecting you to it’s mobile server.  It’s is OK but unfortunately, still they did not gave any option or button or link to share pictures, videos, status etc., which is posted by others.  Facebook only knows the reason for this restriction.  But, my thought is, this also good reason to reduce the data usage.

Fine, now i don’t want to make you bore anymore.  Directly will see the solution instead.

Simple way....

Just tag your name in photo posts and the photo will automatically shared in your timeline...

Advanced...

If you typed www.facebook.com in your mobile browser’s address bar to access facebook, then it’ll automatically redirect you to it’s mobile site (ie. http://m.facebook.com).

Instead, type http://www.facebook.com/home.php in you mobile browser’s address bar and hit go or ok.

I’m sure, you will be amazed, because now your browsers will show your own wall or timeline ditto as you see it in your PC based browser See the below screen shot.

Now you can do anything with your facebook account as you done previously using PC browser.  You can post, like, share etc., But the only thing you can’t do is, Chatting.

But the only negative thing is, the time!  comparing to the mobile site, your browser will take little extra time to load your wall completely.  And as I say, the data usage will also increase significantly.

If your network connection is 3G, then the time of load will be same as usual.  Rather, if your data plan is GPRS or EDGE, then it’ll take much time to load the page.

I recommend you to go for 3G plan or unlimited usage plan to use Facebook normal site.  This just a recommendation,  don’t be scary.

Comparing to the mobile site, Facebook’s normal site will consume only just a little bit of higher data usage.

So, why are you waiting for? Give a try to share some post by accessing the Facebook’s normal site.  But remember to enter the exact address as i say. (i.e. type /home.php after regular website address)

Again i’m telling use http://www.facebook.com/home.php to access Facebook's normal site.

UPDATE (11/09/2012) : FINALLY FACEBOOK ENABLED SHARING OPTION FOR MOBILE USERS.... TESTED IN OPERA MINI AND IT WORKS.... HURRRRRRRRRRAY.... KEEP ROCKING....!

If you have any further doubts or question post it in the comment section below and i’ll clear it for you.
